VE Day 2026 – Honouring Service and Supporting Our Veterans

Thursday 8 May 2026 marks the 81st anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day, a time to remember the courage and sacrifice of those who served during the Second World War and the communities who supported them.

At The Saheecha’s Practices, we are proud to mark VE Day and honour the Armed Forces personnel and families whose service helped secure peace and freedom.

Supporting Our Veterans

We are an accredited Veteran Friendly GP Practice, part of the Veteran Friendly GP Practice Accreditation Programme. We are committed to identifying and supporting veterans, ensuring they receive appropriate care and can access dedicated NHS services where needed.

If you are a veteran or have previously served in the UK Armed Forces, please let the practice know so this can be recorded in your medical record and we can best support your care.
